I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1989 to a family that has been involved in art and environmental conservation for generations. This led to a strong passion for the arts and the sanctity of the natural world. Throughout my life, these influences have inspired me life and work. My work covers a range of environmental and social justice concepts, from worker’s rights to deforestation. My senior thesis show focused on the endangerment of animals in North America. I am a senior at Xavier and has concentrated in sculpture and ceramics under Kelly Phelps in Xavier’s art department. I will graduate in December of 2011 with a B.F.A. in ceramics with an Art Education minor.
